Rating Your Date Experience


LoveJournal lets you rate each date across several important dimensions. These ratings help you reflect on your experiences and power the app’s AI insights.


What Can You Rate?

  • Chemistry: How strong was the spark or connection?
  • Communication: How well did you and your date communicate?
  • Compatibility: Did you feel aligned in values, interests, or goals?
  • Overall Vibe: Your general impression of the date.

How to Rate a Date

  1. Log or Edit a Date Entry
    • Go to the Dates tab and click + Add Date or select an existing entry to edit.

      Find the Ratings Section

    • Look for sliders, stars, or number fields labeled Chemistry, Communication, Compatibility, and Overall.

      Set Your Ratings

    • Move the slider or select the number of stars that best matches your experience (usually 1–10 or 1–5 scale).

      Save Your Entry

    • Click Save or Update to record your ratings.

What Do the Ratings Mean?

  • High Ratings (8–10): Strong connection, great communication, or high compatibility.
  • Mid Ratings (5–7): Mixed feelings, some positives and some challenges.
  • Low Ratings (1–4): Poor fit, awkwardness, or clear dealbreakers.

Why Rate Your Dates?

  • Spot Trends: See which types of dates or people lead to your best experiences.
  • AI Insights: Ratings help LoveJournal identify patterns, red flags, and growth areas.
  • Personal Reflection: Over time, you’ll notice what really matters to you.
